Mid Term Review Meeting of Myanmar-UNICEF Country Programme (2018-2022) was virtually held on 11th December, 2020.
At the meeting, U Than Aung Kyaw, Director General, Foreign Economic Relations Department, Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Mr. Marcoluigi Corsi, Deputy Regional Director, UNICEF East Asia & Pacific Regional Office from Bangkok, Thailand and Ms. June Kunugi, UNICEF Representative to Myanmar gave the opening remarks.
During the meeting, representatives from the government entities and UNICEF jointly reviewed on the five priority outcomes such as Health and Nutrition, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Education and Child Protection and Social Policy and Child Rights Monitoring under the Country Programme (2018-2022) for past three years since 2018 and identified the priorities for Multi Year Work Plan (2021-2022) including the activities for COVID-19 response and resilience.
Myanmar-UNICEF Country Programme (2018-2022) is being implemented nationwide by ministries concerned with the estimated budget US$ 207.50 million.
The meeting was attended virtually by 134 representatives including the Ministers from State and Region Governments, Permanent Secretary, Director General, Deputy Director Generals, Senior Officials from ministries concerned and officials from UNICEF. The meeting was attended by Director General and Senior Officials from Foreign Economic Relations Department, Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations.
